  • Protect and honor the rights of individuals with disabilities
  • Ensuring a safe and clean home for individuals served
  • Develop a positive rapport while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment
  • Teach skills to individuals served that increase independence such as eating, cooking and bathing
  • Document data displaying the individual served goals and progression
  • Assist in finding and participating in meaningful community activities
  • Work independent or with co-workers to enhance the growth of individuals served
  • Participate in on-going professional training

Responsibilities Include:
  • Prior experience working with individuals with verbal and physical aggression
  • Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities
  • Provide training, assistance and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and significant behavioral challenges and mental health conditions
  • Ability to implement plans and training throughout crisis situations and respond to behaviors utilizing positive behavior supports.
  • Assist individuals served in expanding their opportunities to participate in community life as they choose
  • Assist individuals in learning and maintaining skills, having new life experiences and respond to behaviors utilizing positive behavior supports.
  • Provide training to individuals served in all identified areas and function as part of the interdisciplinary team

Benchmark Human Services has grown to become one of the most respected organizations in the country in the areas of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health.  We work with people at home, at work, and in the community, through residential, employment, crisis response, behavioral, recovery, children’s services and day services. Benchmark looking to hire a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist for it's New Jersey and Maryland markets. Responsibilities: 
  • Post recruitment ads with a variety of recruitment resources including but not limited to sponsored web sites, professional organizations, newspapers, universities, social media, and the Company’s web site, etc.
  • Engage previous applicants and employees who are eligible for rehire
  • Maintain current information on job openings for assigned programs
  • Maintain an updated staffing needs list for each service line
  • Conduct telephone interviews with candidates
  • Coordinate the flow of candidates through the interview process including scheduling 2nd round interviews with hiring managers and including HR generalist in all relevant communications
  • Maintain and report statistics on defined key performance indicators (KPI)
