Benchmark Human Services, a national leader committed to providing quality services to individuals with disabilities, is hiring! We are actively seeking applicants for a Clinical Specialist to serve our South Miami team. Ideal candidates will be eager to provide services to infants and toddlers who are at risk for developmental disabilities as part of the Florida Early Intervention Services Program.  Candidates should be a current Early Steps provider (ITDS, OT, PT, SLP, SW) or eligible to enroll to become one.


  • Assist Program Director with operational functions of Benchmark early intervention program.

  • Responsible for the enhancement of the clinical skills of each therapist in his/her own discipline, as well as supporting the growth of trans-disciplinary skills for all staff members.


  • Comply with all Federal and State regulations.

  • Assist with hiring of early intervention staff.

  • Ensure that interventionists receive the support, training, and work time necessary to fulfill the requirements of their positions.

  • Train and mentor staff.

  • Maintain consistent communication with team members.

  • Assist in completing a minimum of 2 observations per interventionist per calendar year.

  • Facilitate team meetings on a monthly basis.

  • Develop mini-trainings for staff based on team’s suggestions.

  • Participate in all ESSO sponsored trainings, meetings, and learning opportunities.

  • Provide direct services with a caseload of 15 hours per week.

  • Assisting in reviewing one child’s contact notes per therapist (4 service dates) on a quarterly basis.

  • Develop Policies & Procedures as indicated by program needs.

  • Actively participate in other related committees/workgroups.

  • Facilitate staff growth and development to ensure best practice.

  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all staff and clients we serve.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Valid Florida driver's license.

  • Bachelors Degree in early intervention related field.

  • Five years experience working with infants and toddlers.

  • Knowledgeable about best practices for service delivery in early intervention.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to Natural Learning Environment Practices.
