GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will provide Tier 1 level technical software, hardware, and network problem resolution to all staff by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed; pass more complex end-user problems on to appropriate staff; and perform related work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and applications problems. Resolve as many user-reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures for handling support cases.
  • Courteously obtain and convey concise problem information for internal support personnel.
  • Route calls to the appropriate resource.
  • Identify and escalate priority problems as appropriate.
  • Act as a liaison between staff and internal support staff to assure accurate problem interpretation.
  • Maintain communication with staff during the problem resolution process.
  • Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution of problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and experience of customer service practices
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
  • Organized, flexible, assertiveness and team oriented
  • Working knowledge of relevant hardware, software and networking

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least high school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
