Join Benchmark as an Employment Consultant to help develop and implement individualized plans to assist people with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment positions in the community.

This is a Full-Time position covering South Bend and Valparaiso areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather vital information on referred individuals and create tailored plans to achieve community-based employment through both in-person and remote interactions.
  • Cultivate relationships with local businesses to understand their hiring needs and employee retention strategies.
  • Align the strengths and abilities of underemployed or unemployed individuals with disabilities to meet employer expectations.
  • Help clients prepare for interviews and provide transportation assistance as needed.
  • Coordinate with referring entities to plan, evaluate clients, and enhance job placement efforts.
  • Oversee job coaches during job shadowing, assessments, development, and training tailored to each client.
  • Ensure consistent attendance in line with program, Benchmark, and client-specific requirements.
  • Adhere to all standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone involved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years experience in business world in management or supervisory role.
  • College degree and/or some experience preferred with people with disabilities preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
