Sam Dickson joins Benchmark Human Services (Benchmark) as the state director of New Jersey, overseeing residential and day services programs.
Dickson has worked in human services for 18 years and has a degree from West Virginia University. He started out in the field helping children and adolescents. In 2010, he began working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Most recently, Dickson worked as a director of programs in New Jersey, and he previously worked as a state director for Delaware.
“Sam’s understanding of the New Jersey system will help Benchmark meet our goals of continued quality and growth,” says Chris Diehl, Benchmark Vice President. “We’re excited for him to join the team.”
Benchmark has operated residential services in New Jersey for 15 years. Since our New Jersey program launched in 2010, we have grown to operate 28 group homes in the State. In 2017, our program grew to include day services and we now operate five day programs as well.
