A member of staff at the parent company of Camp Red Cedar, Benchmark Human Services, found out about the contest while visiting a local branch of his bank. “I figured; why not give it a shot? If I can make it easy for people to vote, maybe we’ll do something great for Camp Red Cedar” said Simon May of his discovery of the contest.
Over the next few weeks, May encouraged company staff in three office locations across the city to fill out forms to support the effort. “When I dropped off our stack of forms, I didn’t know if or when we would find out more, but when we got the call, we were so excited that all our little efforts had amounted to winning this wonderful donation!” said May.
