Simon May has been selected as the next Communications Manager of AWS/Benchmark Human Services.
May is a graduate of Purdue University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising in 2012. He began his marketing career in Fort Wayne with an internship at Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Following this program, May spent a year with Oasis Radio Group developing advertising campaigns for radio, digital, video, and social media platforms.
Prior to his acceptance of the Communications Manager position with AWS/Benchmark Human Services, May had worked as the Marketing and Special Projects Assistant for AWS Foundation. This role involved initiating new online media tools for vendor registration for the disAbilities Expo, and Northeast Indiana marketing for the event through newspaper, TV, radio, web and social media platforms. He is also responsible for the creation of a commemorative book about the “Bike Art with Purpose” project that he assisted with, working hands-on with clients to create sculptures out of bicycles.
May serves on the marketing board for the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir and sings in several local ensembles.
