GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct the regional activities of Supported Living in the South Bend and Hobart, IN areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide financial management and oversight of departmental finances including budget management, billing, expenditures, waiver budgets, bad debt, unbilled and bank accounts for individuals served.
- Provide overall staff supervision; determining staffing needs, staff selection, training, performance/incentive reviews, and disciplinary action.
- Maintains certification and proactive involvement in training and development of staff including Mandt Training, SAT Training, and departmental training.
- Compliance with applicable Federal, state and local regulations; CARF standards, Medicaid Waiver, and policies and procedures of Benchmark Human Services
- Responsible for the development, stability, and expansion of program services by actively seeking and meeting potential referrals, having a stable and successful department, assisting new market areas, being present with excellent attendance, and acting as a Director Mentor as requested.
- Actively participate in Director Meeting, departmental meetings, Management Rally, committee meetings, state association meetings (IN/ARF, MARF, etc), state sponsored meetings, and other required meetings
- Conduct Quality assurance functions including quality monitoring, regular home visits, CQA’s, file reviews, outcome measures, incentive program monitoring, consumer finances, health care coordination
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with case managers, families, BCs, auditors, and government officials
- Prepare and participate in both external and internal surveys/audits.
- Work cooperatively with human resources, accounting, IT, vice presidents, other directors and department heads
- Must maintain good attendance throughout employment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years progressive management experience in human services; experience working with people with developmental disabilities in residential settings
- Bachelors degree/master’s degree and 5 years experience or 10 years experience required; masters degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license
