First Steps is Missouri’s Early Intervention system that provides services to families with children, birth to three years of age, with disabilities or developmental delays. Benchmark Human Services in the St. Louis office is seeking qualified and caring people to work as a Service Coordinator in St. Louis City for MO First Steps.

Responsibilities Include:
- Assist and enable infants, toddlers, and their families to have access to services provided under Missouri’s early intervention program
- Assist in SPOE with eligibility determination and conduct family assessment including referral, intake, and eligibility
- Participate in Early Intervention Team (EIT) meetings when children are assigned
- Assist parents of eligible children in planning, meeting, developing, implementing and reviewing an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Accurately document data displaying the individual served goals and progression
- Monitor the delivery of services to ensure the services are provided timely and in accordance with the IFSP
- Facilitate a transition plan for children exiting First Steps
General Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation
- Valid auto insurance and driver’s license
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following: Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child/Human Development, Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Nursing, or Psychology and 1 year experience working with children and families OR degree and 3 years experience working with children and families
- Meet provider enrollment qualifications for a Service Coordinator
