GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the development and implementation of successful employee safety and human resources compliance initiatives. Work collaboratively with the Vice President of Human Resources, Director of Staffing Operations and the Benefits Administrator to develop and implement interwoven strategies to meet the recruitment, retention and HR compliance and safety programs of the organization. Manage the organization’s worker’s compensation program. Provide guidance and counseling to management.
Salary Range: $40-50k

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the development of training and communication material

Conduct supplemental staff and management trainings as assigned

Develop employee training materials
-
Assist in the training new human resources staff

Safety and Workers’ Compensation: the following list is not all inclusive:

Work collaboratively with Director of Staffing Operations to ensure the completion of all safety initiatives assigned to the human resources department.

Co-chairperson of the company’s safety committee
-
Maintain and report statistics on defined key performance indicators (KPI)
-
Manage workers’ compensation claims
-
Collaborate with TPA, insurance carrier, broker, legal, and internal resources to ensure the reporting, treatment and defense of injury claims
-
Collaborate with medical providers and TPA to ensure employees return to work as soon as possible
-

Maintain and report statistics on defined key performance indicators (KPI)

Complete assigned data entry
-
Work collaborating with Director of Staffing Operations to plan and conduct or assign and report on compliance reviews and take necessary follow up action with management and staff
-
Conduct compliance reviews, prepare reports of outcomes, and take necessary follow up action with management and staff
-
Coordinate the completion of monthly searches, including but not limited to: criminal background, driving record checks, professional license checks, OIG, and random drug testing
-
Remain up to date on laws and regulations impacting compliance and safety
-
Report on assigned compliance issues
-
Track facilities’ monthly and quarterly safety activities (drills and site safety reports)
-
Compile data and complete EEO-1, Affirmative Action and Veteran regulatory reports
-
Coordinate random drug testing program
-

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills including the capacity to be an effective presenter
- Ability to work in a support capacity with management and employees
- Ability to create reports, presentations, graphs and charts
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must keep current with local, regional, state, and federal laws and regulations as they relate to HR compliance and safety
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience managing workers’ compensation is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of worker’s compensation programs and claims management is required
- Preferred experience within human resources compliance
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid auto insurance
