Join Benchmark’s Early Intervention Services as a Case Assignment Coordinator! We are involved in all aspects of care for the youngest among us– from overseeing regional programs to providing hands-on services through federal and state programs. Children’s Services help babies and toddlers with disabilities or delays learn new skills that typically develop during the first three years of life including physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication skills.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is Full-Time, office position Monday through Friday. The Case Assignment Coordinator would ensure children found eligible for Birth to Three services are assigned to appropriate therapists/providers in a timely fashion and in accordance with B23 guidelines. Maintain clear and effective communication with providers and Team Leaders to facilitate the start of services, including preparing and sending all documentation required for initiating services, and following up to ensure the initial IFSP is completed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBIITIES:

  • Process eligible cases and transfers; make appropriate assignments to the providers and early intervention team.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain case assignment information.
  • Collect, organize, and send transfer cases to other B23 programs.
  • Send eligibility paperwork and related documents to assigned therapists to initiate services.
  • Enter case assignments into spreadsheet and State Data system as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and Birth to Three families to ensure all needs are met.
  • Communicate regularly with Team Leaders and program administrative team regarding case assignments.
  • Assist with day-to-day administrative functions of the office: customer contact, phone, email, mail, filing, document preparation and data entry as needed.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Preferred Birth to Three experience
  • Knowledge of the Birth to Three and Part C processes so to understand how best to assign cases.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Able to manage within a fast-paced environment, prioritizing work and demonstrating flexibility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate well with all staff and team members.
  • Attention to detail; demonstrate strong verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Excellent skills in organization; written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Outlook.
