Georgia Intensive Support Coordinators

State Director of Clinical Services

Tammy Carroll brings over 25 years experience of working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities across several states. She received her masters and PhD from the University of Kansas in developmental and child psychology, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral level. Dr. Carroll is a member of the International Association for Behavior Analysis, Association for Professional Behavior Analyst, and Alabama and Georgia Associations for Applied Behavior Analysis. She has taught at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. Currently, she teaches at Georgia Southern University. Something interesting about Dr. Carroll is that she became a foster parent for an adolescent male with autism while in graduate school. Her motto is “work hard, but play harder!”

Penny Bennett
Intensive Support Coordinator

Penny Bennett has over 30 years of experience in the IDD field. She has served children and adults with intellectual disabilities in both New Hampshire and Georgia. Penny attended Notre Dame College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, with a minor in Special Education. She has specialized in residential services, day programs, and community integration programs (her favorite), holding positions ranging from volunteer to director. In addition, she has many years’ experience working with people who have psychiatric challenges Penny is passionate about enabling people with disabilities and often states: “If I did not need an income, I would do this for free.”

Brad Boruff
Intensive Support Coordinator

Brad Boruff brings over 20 years of case management experience to Benchmark. Brad received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. Brad has had the opportunity to provide case management services to individuals diagnosed with developmental and mental/behavioral disabilities. He has spent the last 11 years working as a program manager supervising two group homes and managing the care of 26 individuals.  Brad is a strong advocated for the individuals he serves, and enjoys linking them to community services and ancillary resources. He looks forward to utilizing his skills with Benchmark as an Intensive Support Coordinator.

Andrew Brown
Intensive Support Coordinator 

Andrew Brown has worked with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 16 years.  He started working with them in a temporary position while in college, realized helping them succeed was his passion, and decided to make it a full time career.  He then went on to earn his Bachelors of Social Work at Thomas University.  Andrew has worn many hats as a provider of services in the Thomasville and Moultrie areas, from direct supports all the way up to case coordinator and program manager. During his free time he loves cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs, spending time with friends and family, and visiting theme parks.  Andrew is thrilled to join Benchmark and to help people with IDD and their providers become valued members of their communities and realize their fullest potential.

Quality Assurance Coordinator/Intensive Support Coordinator

Kelli Burrous  joins the Benchmark Case Management team with 20 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities in an ICFMR facility and community based program in Georgia. She has extensive knowledge of support coordination including managing cases with exceptional rates, participant direct, hospital transitions, and supporting individual with complex behavioral and medical issues.  Kelli is experienced in completing a variety of assessment tools and  helping individuals develop natural supports within the community. She has a vast knowledge of tool development to maintain the continuity for continued care for individuals.  She looks forward to continuing to support individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their hopes and dreams.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology from  Troy State University in Phenix City, Alabama.

Intensive Support Coordinator

Tracy Bynum has over 8 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disorders. After graduating from Georgia Southern University with her Liberal Arts and Social Sciences degree, Tracy began her career working with the Mobile Crisis Team at Benchmark. Tracy continued on to become a Support Coordinator after three years in the field. Tracy is passionate about helping individuals excel in their environments, she feels her role as an intensive support coordinator allows her to continue being an advocate of resources to help people lead a fulfilling life.

James “Joe” Byrne, BA
Intensive Support Coordinator 

Joes has a BA from Berry College. He has been a special education paraprofessional and a classroom teacher. Most recently, Joe have provided care for several adults with special needs.  He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a retired scoutmaster. Joe has three children and three grandchildren. He enjoys outdoor activities.

Eboni Calhoun
Intensive Support Coordinator 

Eboni Calhoun has experience in criminal justice, social work, adoption studies, and human services.  Eboni began her tenure at Benchmark as an intern during her senior year of college.  After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Middle Georgia State University, Eboni began serving as a Traditional Support Coordinator.  Eboni is currently working towards her Master of Science in Human Services at Mercer University.  Eboni finds much joy working with the individuals she serves to help them maximize their lives, and accomplish all of their dreams!

Lisa ClarkLisa Clark
Intensive Support Coordinator

Lisa Clark has over 8 years of experience working with children and families in the areas of mental and behavioral health, three of those years as a Support Coordinator.  Lisa has worked as a Behavioral Specialist and DDP, and as an independent contractor for behavioral services.  She has masters’ degrees in Human Services and Developmental Disabilities with the concentration of Applied Behavioral Analysis from Capella University.



Angela DuBois
Intensive Support Coordinator 

Angela DuBois has  over 15 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Angela earned her BSW from S.C. State University and her MSM in Health Care Management from Troy State University. Prior to coming joining Benchmark, she worked as a QMRP and a case manager. It is her passion and goal to assists individuals with disabilities to achieve their dreams and to be all that they can be.

Jennifer Eason
Intensive Support Coordinator

Jennifer comes to Benchmark as an Intensive Support Coordinator with 16 years of experience working in developmental disabilities with children, adolescents and adults.  Thirteen of those years in Support Coordination and 3 years as DDP/Program manager for direct provider.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University. Jennifer brings with her, specific experience in providing support to individuals and families in participant direct self-direct, exceptional rates, NOW/COMP waiver services and person-centered planning.  Jennifer received certification in Supports Intensity Scale Assessment and has been a member of Region 5 Quality Improvement Council.  Jennifer feels her role as Intensive Support Coordinator will provide opportunity to help people live to their fullest potential.

Brian D. Everett
Clinical Supervisor 

Brian D. Everett Brian is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience working with clients from all backgrounds and needs; depression and anxiety, relationship/marriage concerns, anger management, parenting issues, PTSD, and OCD.  Brian’s experience includes clinical training, in-home counseling services to individuals and families, utilization of assessments for Domestic Violence, Parenting, Substance Abuse, and Anger Scales.  Brian has also worked in the Prison environment as a Mental Health Counselor.  He provided therapeutic

interventions to inmates suffering from Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Psychotic Disorders.  Brian dealt with Level 3 inmates, which is an environment equivalent to an inpatient mental health setting. Brian has an undergraduate degree from Mercer University with a BS in Industrial Administration. He also has a Master’s degree from Georgia College and State University with a MS in Applied Psychology. Brian has been with Benchmark for 4 years working as a Mobile Crisis Clinician.

Yolanda Freeman
Clinical Supervisor

Yolanda Freeman has worked as a dropout prevention specialist, home health social worker, an adult protective services case manager, and most recently, provided crisis services for mental health and substance abuse with Benchmark.  She likes to say she has had many lives within the social work field.  Yolanda is Georgia born, Georgia bread, Georgia living. Go Dawgs.


Melanie Gist
Intensive Support Coordinator

Melanie Gist comes to Benchmark with over 14 years of experience working with individuals who have developmental and mental/behaviors disorders.  Melanie has worked in the capacity of a Behavior Specialist, Team Leader, Regional Director, and Special Education Teacher.   She earned a Master of Education Degree in Counseling/Psychology from Troy University in Augusta, Georgia.  Melanie is passionate about advocating for individuals and looks forward to supporting them with a positive and rewarding experience in the community setting.

SherVonne GroseShervonne
Intensive Support Coordinator

SherVonne Grose brings to Benchmark, over thirteen years of experience working with children and families in the areas of mental and behavioral health.  Three of those thirteen years of experience include time spent working as a Support Coordinator.  In addition, SherVonne has worked in therapeutic foster care, community-based services, and as an independent contractor for report writing and supportive services to include crisis intervention for children and families.  SherVonne earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wesleyan College, Macon, Georgia, and she holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon.

Intensive Support Coordinator 

Ebone’ Harrill brings almost eight years of experience working in various capacities of the field of developmental disabilities and mental health. She gained her start in the field working in North Carolina in a group home setting after graduating with a bachelor’s degre Public Health and a minor in African American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Since moving to Georgia, she has worked for a number of different companies including Benchmark where she was a mobile crisis team DSP for Region 1.  During this time she received her MBA in Healthcare Administration. While on the mobile crisis team Ebone’ supported individuals, including those with high behavioral challenges, in different settings to decrease these outbursts. Ebone’ also served as a community support coordinator before returning to Benchmark as an intensive support coordinator. Ebone’ has a passion to work in this field and support individuals in their mission to improve quality of life.

Shonta Hazel, MSWShonta Hazel
Intensive Support Coordinator

Shonta Hazel has years of collaborate case management experience and will be providing Intensive support coordination for Benchmark Human Services within Region 5 and surrounding regions of Georgia. Shonta developed vast experience in various sectors of disabilities; such as mental health and developmental disabilities servicing adolescent, transition age population (16-24), adults and the elderly. She received a BS in Behavior Analysis and a Master of Social Work from Savannah State University. She is a native Savannahian and has worked in the Human Service Field as a Youth team supervisor, mental health transition coach and support coordinator within the last 10 years. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for how providing services seek to improve the quality of life for the community; one individual at a time.

Intensive Support Coordinator

LaTaya Hunt joined Benchmark Human Services as an Intensive Support Coordinator with over 10 years of experience working with individuals in the community. LaTaya Hunt obtained a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Mississippi State University in 2004. LaTaya Hunt has a wealth of experience in working with children and adults with developmental disabilities while employed with Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.  Prior to relocating to the state of Georgia, LaTaya Hunt worked with adult males that have developmental disabilities and some form of addiction to illegal substances.  LaTaya Hunt also has experience in providing intensive support services to individuals in the home that are dealing with a variety of developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. LaTaya Hunt has a desire to work with individuals in obtaining independence regardless of their developmental disability.

Quality Assurance Coordinator/Intensive Support Coordinator

Linda Jones joins the Benchmark Case Management team with more than 25 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities in Florida and Georgia. Linda has extensive knowledge and experience working in a variety of positions as Director of an Adult Day Training Center, Program Manager, and Behavior Support Specialist. She has experience in the areas of exceptional rates and behavioral issues, and has been a Professional Crisis Management Trainer for over 15 years. Linda received her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of South Florida. She looks forward to continuing to advocate for and support individuals with developmental disabilities.

Heather Macbeth heather mcbeth
LPC/Clinical Supervisor

Heather Macbeth received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology at Troy University in Troy, Al.  While pursuing her graduate degree at Troy, she was the sole 2003-2004 recipient of the Chancellor’s Fellowship Scholarship for dedication to her chosen field of study and was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society for Counseling.  She has 11 years of experience working with adults, children, and adolescents and maintains a current GA LPC. She has worked in a variety of settings such as substance abuse programs, group homes, prisons, state forensic hospitals, and mental health centers with experience providing individual and group counseling, transition planning, developing behavior plans/providing positive behavioral support.

Angela Nelson
Clinical Supervisor

Angela Nelson joined Benchmark Human Services in March of 2016. She was part of ICST until it resolved in July of this year. Ms. Nelson has over 19 years of experience in working with people who have developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders and mental illness. She has worked as a Behavior Specialist, DDP, case manager, QA auditor and charge nurse at a rehabilitation facility. She a registered nurse who also has a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and Case Management and a B.S. in Public Services Human Services; she is also a Certified Case Manager and a member of ACMA and DDNA. Her favorite quote, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” by Maya Angelou.

Clinical Supervisor 

Christa Raines joined Benchmark Human Services in February of 2016 as a licensed clinician for Georgia’s Region 6 Mental Health Mobile Crisis Services. In April of 2017, she assumed the role of Clinical Supervisor for Georgia’s Intensive Support Coordination services.  Christa’s experience and credentials include 24+ years of clinical experience in areas of therapy applications, psychoanalysis, treatment development/planning, assessments, evaluations and program development and management. She is also a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. Christa holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas as well as a Masters in Human Services, specializing in Professional Counseling, a Postgraduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Services, and a Doctorate in Human Services, all from Capella University.  In her spare time Christa enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to culturally diverse places.

Fellicia Bunch Russell, MA
Intensive Support Coordinator

Fellicia Bunch Russell, brings over 15 years of experience to Benchmark as a Support Coordinator/ Mentor from both California and Georgia. Fellicia studied Sociology, Psychology, and Negotiation Conflict Management at California State University Dominguez Hills where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Fellicia has worked as a Case Coordinator with a Medicaid waiver provider and worked in the mental health field as a member with the Intense Family Intervention team for at risk youth. She also has served as a Master level therapist for those who are at risk of incarceration, depression, or addicted to illegal substances. Fellicia is very devoted and passionate to the population she serves and continues to advocate for those who need her service.  Fellicia loves to enjoy her spare time traveling, and organizing parties and events for family and friends.

Susan Sofferin joins the Benchmark Case Management team with more than 25 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities in Florida and Georgia. Sixteen of these years included Support Coordination where she completed a variety of assessment tools and has a multitude of experience in helping individuals develop natural supports within the community. She is knowledgeable of Supported Employment and helping to support individuals to be as self sufficient as possible. She has extensive experience in the area of participant direct, exceptional rate and complex medical and behavioral issues. She is looking forward to continuing to provide her individuals with a voice where they can be heard. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Florida.

Debbie Strickland joins the Benchmark Case Management team with more than 40 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities. Recently retired from the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Debbie has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Case Management/Support Coordination, Participant Directed Services, NOWCOMP waiver services and is a certified Person Centered Thinking trainer.  Debbie has worked as both a service provider and as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities. Debbie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Troy State University. She looks forward to continuing to advocate for and support individuals with developmental disabilities.

Intensive Support Coordinator

Lithia Thompson brings to Benchmark over 15 years of experience, working with children, adolescents, and adults, in the area of Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health in the ICR-MF facility and community based programs in the Region 2 area.  Having worked as an Early Intervention Specialist, Behavior Specialist, and DDP, she has a comprehensive scope of operations in areas such as developing/implementing behavior support plans and hospital/community transitional planning. Lithia received a BA in Sociology from Valdosta State University. While pursing her graduate degree, she was able to obtain RBT certification. She hopes to continue to help individuals and their families live a life without limits.

Amber Williams
Intensive Support Coordinator

Amber Williams joined Benchmark as an Intensive Support Coordinator with over 11 years of experience as working as a case manager. Amber graduated from Mercer University with a bachelors degree in Social Science. She has worked with the Division of Child Support Services as an Early Intervention Agent, and also as an Enforcement Agent. Amber is excited to continue supporting and helping individuals reach their goals and live a fulfilling life.

Intensive Support Coordinator

Sheree Williams has 7 ½ years’ experience working in case management. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Mercer University. She is also a Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP). Sheree began her career with Georgia Division of Child Support services as a Legal Enforcement Agent III. She enjoys working with individuals and their families, to help the individuals live a more independent and fulfilling life. Motivated by her love for helping others, Sheree is looking forward to her future with Benchmark.

George Wilson
Support Coordinator 

George Wilson joins Benchmark with extensive experience in the field. In his previous job, he worked with individuals with special needs in the public school system. He has cultivated relationships with people with disabilities in the community. George has a background in Elementary Education. Off the clock he enjoys camping, fishing, traveling, and hanging out with his family.
