Case Management – Northeast Region


Tacey DunwoodyTacey Dunwoody
Director of Benchmark Case Management Services

Tacey Dunwoody has 14 years of experience working in Case Management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human services, with a minor in sociology from Black Hills State University. Dunwoody served as a Case Manager, SPED Director, Admissions Coordinator, Outreach Program Director, and Human Rights/Positive Support Committee Chair for Northern Hills Training Center in Spearfish, South Dakota before joining Benchmark. She is a certified Person Centered Thinking Coach, and is Crisis Prevention Intervention certified.

Colin Hutchison
Regional Director 

Colin Hutchison has worked in the human services field for approximately 21 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Dakota. Prior to his employment with Benchmark, Colin managed two of South Dakota’s Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities waivers, CHOICES and Family Support 360. He played a key role in bringing Conflict-free Case Management into the state of South Dakota during his time as a Waiver Administrator for South Dakota’s Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Amie Deckeramie
Case Manager, Northeast Region

Amie Decker has been working in the field for ten years starting as a part-time fill in with Center for Independence in Huron. She moved to a full-time position within the agency as a DSP soon after and filled that position for five years. In 2013, Amie became the Lead Instructor at the Donnie Wahl apartments in Huron. Amie is CPR, and CPI certified.  She has also been a PCT coach. She is passionate about working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and is driven to assist people reach their personal goals.

Brittany Kamm

Brittany Kamm has two years of experience in case management, working as a service coordinator for Aspire, Inc. Prior to that, she spent six years working as a Direct Support Professional in a supervised apartment building.  Kamm holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern State University, and is currently finishing her master’s degree in Long Term Care Administration at the University of South Dakota.

Leah Leidholdt
Case Manager, Northeast Region

Leah Leidholdt comes to Benchmark with 15 years of experience working with adults with disabilities, most of which was with Aspire, Inc.  Throughout her tenure, Leah served as a Direct Support Professional, Community Living Supervisor (both group home and supervised apartments), Quality Assurance Coordinator, and Director of Community Living Services.  She also provided oversight to the Agency’s Service Coordination department and served as a chair on the Positive Behavior Supports Committee.

Case Manager, Northeast Region

Dorianne Schmidt has 22 years of experience in the healthcare field. She worked as a CNA assisting the elderly with patient care before joining Lifescape, where she worked with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a Direct Support Professional for five years in residential and the remaining 10.5 in Supported Living with two years as a case manager. She is Person Centered trained, CPI trained, and knows basic sign language. Dorianne is a strong believer in advocating for people’s needs and encouraging their rights.

Sue Sutton
Case Manager, Northeast RegionSue Sutton

Sue Sutton has nearly six years of experience in Case Management with New Horizons, Watertown, South Dakota. She began her career with New Horizons as a Direct Support Professional before taking on dual roles as Case Manager and Direct Support Coordinator, supervising eight staff in an apartment setting for 16 residents. Sutton holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology from South Dakota State University.  She is a 2014 graduate of Partners in Policymaking.
