Benchmark Human Services is hiring immediately! Benchmark is a national leader in providing programs to individuals with disabilities and mental illness. The St Marys, OH Day Services program is hiring Direct Support Professionals. Successful applicants will attend paid orientation and training. No experience is necessary! The work schedule is Monday – Friday, day shift (NO weekend shifts, NO night shifts, NO holiday shifts).  Have fun out in the community with members of our Day Hab!

All training provided, must be comfortable with driving a 15 passenger or wheelchair lift van and also changing attends.

General Responsibilities:

• Protect and honor the rights of individuals served
• Assist individuals with daily living skills
• Assist with personal care needs, such as toileting, eating, mobility, etc.
• Develop a positive rapport while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment
• Administer medication and assist with other medical needs
• Document data regarding the individual served
• Assist in finding and participating in meaningful community activities
• Work independent or with co-workers to meet the needs of the individuals served
• Communicate effectively with others

General Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation
• Auto insurance and driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED
