Description:
At Benchmark Human Services (Benchmark), we help support people throughout life, from infancy to elder years. Our team is 3,400-strong and serves more than 10,000 children and adults throughout the United States. We work with people at home, at work, and in the community, through residential, employment, crisis response, behavioral, recovery, children’s services, and day services.

Provide overall direction and coordination of the Alabama Crisis Care Consultation Project, for Benchmark Human Services. The project includes the development of a state-wide behavioral health crisis continuum system of care. Serve as the senior manager and liaison representing Benchmark with Alabama Department of Mental Health officials, legislators, local agencies and the community. Ensure compliance with contract deliverables, including meeting all timelines and due dates, and providing overall project management. Develop and monitor three year work plan, to include system assessment, planning, writing of requests for proposals, and technical assistance. Collect and aggregate data related to Alabama crisis continuum, resources, needs, baseline data, and outcome measures for analysis by technical advisory committee for the Crisis Care Consultation Project. Prepare and submit progress reports and recommendations to the State as scheduled. Develop and/or update technical assistance curriculum materials and training plan.

In coordination with the designated division president, ensure contract compliance and operation within the overall operational budget for this project. Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to ensure all contract activities and deliverables are completed thoroughly and on time. Must be experienced and competent in profession and maintain all applicable licenses, training, and/or certifications. Requires demonstrated competency in the development of in-person and virtual presentations, conducting meetings, use of technology, and public speaking.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of master degree required – preferably in social work, counseling, public health, public policy, administration, or related; preferred current licensure or certification as appropriate to degree.

  • Minimum of five years-experience in the behavioral health field and two years in a supervisory or program development/evaluation role; preferred experience in project management, systems analysis, program design, evaluation, and technical assistance.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Requires relocation to the Montgomery, Alabama area.
