GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate with and assist providers of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities/Behavioral Health (IDD/BH) services in Summit Community Care’s provider network who support persons with IDD in crisis and at high risk of disruptions in placement.  Organize the delivery of training initiated by the Provider Focus capacity building and crisis support team with Benchmark Human Services.  Provide training and technical assistance to IDD/BH agencies on process and policy development in areas of expertise.   Help facilitate training and consultative outreach to external stakeholders such as statewide law enforcement agencies, hospitals, behavioral health partners, families/advocates, government agencies, and Benchmark’s national experts/consultants. This position will be responsible for maintaining all program data and outcomes measurements for the Provider Focus team. Assist the project Director in data analysis and reporting as required for contract deliverables. Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to provide services, supports, and consultation to individuals as required, respond immediately when dispatched on crisis responses, and be present to provide consultation to provider agency staff. Must be experienced and competent in profession, possess effective communication and collaboration skills, and maintain any applicable license, training, and/ or certifications. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum:
  1. Bachelor degree;
  2. Experience developing or coordinating a training program in business, education or public agency setting;
  3. Must have computer literacy, be competent in use of current training technology, use of social media, and selection or development of training curricula;
  4. Ability to use project management software applications;
  5. Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Preferred:
  1. Experience working with individuals with IDD and behavioral health diagnoses and are experiencing a crisis situation;
  2. Working knowledge of the Alabama DMH service system.

Benchmark Human Services, a national leader in behavioral health and intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) services/systems design, is seeking a director to implement and manage an innovative community based crisis response project located in Alabama. General Responsibilities:  Direct Benchmark’s contracted participation in the Provider Focus Project and serve as the Company’s Alabama liaison with the State of Alabama Department of Mental Health (DMH). Supervise the project’s Crisis Support Team staff to conduct crisis Level 1 interventions, develop and conduct training initiatives, initiate collaborative relationships, conduct data based project analyses, coordinate clinical and technical assistance to Summit provider members, administer the project budget, and prepare required reporting to meet contract deliverables. Must be experienced and competent in human services administration, possess effective communication and collaboration skills, and maintain any applicable license, training, and/ or certifications as applicable. The Crisis Support Team will assist Alabama providers in serving persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in crisis and at high risk of inpatient placement, involvement with law enforcement, potential harm to themselves or others, recidivism, or loss of residential/home placement due to severe behavioral, psychiatric or trauma related issues. Coordinate with providers, law enforcement, hospitals, government agencies, families/advocates, and behavioral health partners. Provide technical assistance to providers and case management wrap around services to individuals in crisis. Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to provide services, supports, care and treatment to individuals as required, respond immediately when dispatched on crisis responses, and be present to provide consultation to provider agency staff.   1. Masters or post graduate degree; preferably in a human services related field of study
  2. Supervisory and program administration experience in IDD or Behavioral Health service delivery
  3. Working knowledge of the Alabama DMH service system
  4. Meet criteria to maintain professional license (if applicable)
  5. CPR/Basic First aid
  6. Must be computer literate
  7. Valid driver's license and auto insurance
Preferred:
  1. Three or more years’ experience working with individuals with IDD and behavioral health diagnoses and are experiencing a crisis situation.
  2. Proven experience as a senior level clinical supervisor or administrator of a human services agency, either public or private.
